The role of the College of Occupational Therapists of BC with respect to quality practice includes both the monitoring of practice via the Quality Assurance Program and supporting registrants’ competence. The College is currently focusing on creating innovative ways to support registrants.
At the present time this is done through:
- practice support calls with our practice support consultant,
- education such as our pre-AGM workshops, webinars and learning modules, and
- our case studies that help occupational therapists apply new standards to their practices.
Events
The College of Occupational Therapists of BC supports occupational therapists practice by offering events designed to keep them informed of changes in regulation and standards affecting their practice, and how to adjust their practice to meet these changes. There is no cost to any of these events.
Practice Presentations
College staff are available to come and speak to small and large groups regarding the Quality Assurance Program, and practice issues such as informed consent, client records, and use of support personnel.
If you have a suggestion for an event or presentation, please email us.
