2020 Virtual AGM Notice

COTBC’s 2020 AGM will be held Friday, November 6, 2020, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Due to the current pandemic situation and in the interest of safety, this year’s AGM will be conducted virtually, via Zoom. Given the online format, participants will be able to observe the proceedings, and listen, but will not be able to talk directly to the presenters during the meeting itself.

Your questions are important to us. If you wish to submit a question to be answered during the AGM, please email it to info@cotbc.org by 5 p.m., October 27 and enter ‘AGM 2020 Question’ in the subject line. Questions will be themed and where possible, answered during a scheduled Q&A portion of the agenda.

Instructions on how to access the meeting, including the link to the Zoom meeting, will be emailed and posted on the COTBC website a few days prior to the AGM.

Save the date: This year, COTBC’s AGM is being held separately from the annual cOnnecT Day, which is co-hosted with CAOT-BC and UBC OS&OT. It will be held virtually on Saturday November 21, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Please mark your calendars and watch for additional communications!

 

Notice of 2020 Annual General Meeting

The College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia is pleased to inform registrants that the 2020 Annual General Meeting will be held:  Friday, November 6, 2020, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Given the current pandemic situation and in the interest of safety, this year’s AGM will be conducted virtually, and will be held separately from the annual cOnnecT Forum. It will nevertheless be conducted in accordance with the provisions set out under the Health Professions Act and the College Bylaws. The following matters must be considered:

  • Report of the Board
  • Financial Statements for 2019 – 2020
  • Report of the Auditor

Members of the public, registrants, and committee members are welcome to join the AGM. Participants will be able to observe the proceedings, and listen, but given the online format will not be able to interact with speakers during the meeting itself. Participants who may have questions will be invited to submit them in advance for answering during the AGM Q & A Session. Details regarding submitting questions will be provided in a later email.

Additional notes:

  • Planning is underway for a separate virtual cOnnecT Forum. Please watch for details.
  • Materials, including the agenda, will be provided in advance, by email.
  • The link to the virtual meeting will also be sent by email, closer to the November 6th date.
